Get your life on board, my son
Your mind is stuck on pause
Time to conclude your doubts
I can't hold you back any longer
The leaving train is coming
it's coming down the line
Get your bags and get your heart on board
I can't miss you til your gone
We can't weep or jump for joy
The world is only as big as you think of it
Yes, leaving on a plane or down an old back road
The university of hard knocks is calling you
love and loss, joy and sadness, time to go
My door swings both ways and the light is always on
You and you alone can find your path
You and you alone will know where to go
Go with my blessings and what I have taught you
It's more than about the money but about the knowledge
It's more than about success but about peace
It's more than about comfort but about love
It's more than about us than about everyone you meet
The leaving train it steaming down the way
The conductor is opening up the door
Throw your fears out behind you
