parking light blues

Things got easier when I realized I was not expected to win
The road less traveled is full of broken promises
I have lived and worked hard on my survival
I have survived but not always on my own power
Yes, things got easier when I realized I was not expected to win
I must have been living somebody's elses dream
I had been following anothers roadmap
The wrong key or the key was just the skelton of my former self
My engine has been running on three cylinders
And only a parking light to guide me home

yes when we toss expectations
out of speeding cars, then, my friend, we can celebrate.

According to C. Cavafy-- "no"-- "the right answer" defeats us the rest of our lives.
