BluesPoetry

War tax is on US
Cowardly and it's mean
We got it on the green bean
As well as sweet green pea
Yes, yes
War tax is on us
Both night and day
Yes the war tax is on us
And it ain't going away
Taxin' down the poor folk
Puttin' them in the dirt
Sendin' jobs to India
Can't even buy a new shirt
Yes,yes
War tax is on us
Go to jail or pay it right away
Yes the war tax is on us
And it ruined my sunny day
Taxin' the old ones
Taxin' the young too
Taxin' all the medicine
And the foods grown by you
Yes, yes
War tax is on us
Buying guns and governments
Yes the war tax is on us
And it left us without any sense
Tried to buy a dream house
Tried to buy a boat
Tried to keep my sanity
They taxed my ballot note
Yes,yes
War tax is on us
Sky and ocean are mortaged
Yes the war tax is on us
And like gasoline shortaged
Took a trip to Paris
Took a a trip to France
Tried to dance the can can
They taxed the shoes to dance
Yes,yes
War tax is on us
Schools and teachers alike
Yes the war tax is on us
It's time to buy a bike
They taxed all the animals
Taxed the city zoo
Taxed the hippo double
The hyena and pinguin too
Yes,yes
War tax is on us
Kids and toddlers too
Yes the war tax is on us
What's a mother supposed to do
They shot a rocket to Venus
A rocket to the moon
We are still payin the taxes
Until sometime 3001 in June
Yes,yes
War tax is on us
And not the trickle down kind
Yes the war tax is on us
Enough to make you blind
Taxes taxes taxes red
Taxes of white and blue
Killing people around the globe
Should make you angry too
Yes,yes
The war tax is upon us
From Cesar to Nixon and Agnew
Yes the war tax is on us
You shouldn't pay them what's a fellow to do?
